DESCRIPTION:March 24th - Learn basic recruiting and interview techniques and prevent the cost of a bad hire. This hands-on workshop will teach you the strategies and techniques to prevent you from hiring the wrong employee. As a small business owner\, you will learn to build an outstanding team and become an expert at recruiting and retaining an excellent staff. This seminar will teach you to avoid the costly mistakes of a bad hire and prevent employee turnover. Speaker: Rosanne M. Roberts\, R.M. Roberts and Associates  March 25th - Fund Raising Boot Camp \nThis workshop will be very interactive with emphasis on how to ask for money effectively\, how to make an in-person pitch\, and tools for reducing the anxiety of asking through role-playing. Come prepared to work through all your fears! The workshop will be held in the community room of the Los Alamos National Bank at 301 Griffin Street. Please park off site as they have very limited parking for customers only. Parking is available at the school site about 2 blocks down Griffin Street from the bank.  March 27th - Steps to Starting a Small Business \nThis is an overview of the necessary steps to take in starting a business. You will learn the proper sequence to follow in planning your business\, from naming to marketing to legal entity.
